"Laurence Eaves is a Research Professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy in the University of Nottingham. His research interests span a wide range of areas from semiconductor devices through to the study of how gravity affects living things. Presently, he is working with colleagues at the University of Manchester on the physics of transistors fabricated using graphene which is a new "wonder" material consisting of a single sheet of carbon atoms bound in a two-dimensional hexagonal lattice."
