"Radar has traditionally been a sensor which has been used to detect, localise and track targets. Developments in various technologies are enabling radar to now to be used as an imaging sensor which can be used to identify targets such as aircraft, ships and ground vehicles. The lecture covers the fundamental radar target recognition concepts and discusses the principle technological advances which have enabled these new functions to be developed."
