"Since the First World War an amazing amount of aircraft development has taken place in the Preston area. Dave Ward's talk will take us from the early flying boats on to the building of 4-engined bombers during the Second World War. Then with the introduction of the jet engine along came the Canberra, TSR2, Jaguar, Tornado, Typhoon ... and what next? We will also hear about the company changes over these years and airfield and factory development."
