"More than 60% of waste heat from industrial processes and institutional buildings is "low grade" and hard to re-use within the facility or use for energy generation. Conventional heat-to-power technology requires an adequate temperature and pressure differential to function, limiting the power generation potential. Prof Miller will describe how Spirax Sarco's research team has developed a conversion system that can cost-effectively recover energy from low-temperature waste streams."
