"Trained at Moorfields, Mr Luke Herbert is a cataract and retina surgeon at East Surrey Hospital. He has set up theatres for vitreoretinal surgery twice in his roles as lead clinician at East Surrey and previously in East and North Herts. The talk will cover treatment for detached retinas including the equipment used for microsurgery within the eye. Most procedures are carried out as a day patient under local anaesthetic. Some images may be graphic!"
