"The talk will cover the history of the A1 Locomotive Trust and briefly the history of the class of locomotive. The construction of the Peppercorn Class A1 Pacific steam locomotive by the Trust will be illustrated using original engineering drawings. First test runs in 2008 and then fast mainline trials leading to public service entry in 2009 will be shown. Future aspirations of the Trust for a concept to build a new LNER P2 class locomotive will also be given."
