"In this presentation state-of-the-art in the area of energy efficient design for the next generation mobile communications is reviewed. In particular the main focus is on Cloud Radio Networks architecture as well as Small Cell Architecture. Advantages and disadvantages of each approach are also discussed from both technical and economical perspectives followed by a quick update on the standardization activities in this area."
