"ALMA is an array of 66 radio telescopes, operating at frequencies of a few-tens GHz to almost 1 THz, located in the Atacama Desert above more than half the atmospheric water vapour. The speaker will give an overview of the array and radio interferometry, and some high- (and low-) lights of how it was made to work.
