Over the next few decades, global supply of raw materials must drastically change to accommodate not just the UK's transformation to a low carbon economy, but that of the whole world. Potentially this may include considering sources much closer to where the metals are to be used. In the talk, Prof Herrington will discuss the mineral and energy resources needed to achieve green targets over the coming decades and their potential worldwide implications.
