"This talk will explore what sustainability means to KiwiRail starting with a focus on decarbonisation and its carbon footprint and an overview of initiatives and new assets - rail, Interislander and facilities. It will then look in more detail at both the economic case and technical options for the future motive power assets required to support the decarbonisation of our locomotive fleet. The KiwiRail preferred options will be presented followed by the technical issues still to be solved."
