"Northern Powergrid is the electricity distribution network operator responsible for delivering power to over 8 million people across the North East, Yorkshire & northern Lincolnshire. They manage the network of cables, substations & other infrastructure that brings electricity to homes & businesses in these regions. The control centre that manages all the network operations has offered IET members the opportunity to visit & experience how the electricity network is operated & managed."
