"“Driverless” cars have been making headlines for the last year or two, with many forecasting fleets of self-driving vehicles on our road networks in the next 5 years, or even less. In this talk, Peter Vermaat of the Transport Research Laboratory will be attempting to separate the hype from the reality. The talk will give a history of automated driving, the state of current developments, and the issues (both technical and non-technical) still to be resolved."
