"The talk this evening will take a brief look at the evolution of electric tramways in Manchester and the surrounding area from 1900 to the present day. It will then explore the evolution of the vehicles and the electrical technology, recognising the growth in the number of systems to be found on a tramway today. The evening will conclude with a look to the future and some discussion on the impact of rapidly-changing technology."
