Technical Visit to HK Electric - Lamma Power Station

With the commissioning of its first 250 MW coal-fired unit in 1982, the Lamma Power Station has served Hong Kong for over 40 years. Innovation in Low-Altitude Economy: A New Development Perspective in Hong Kong

During the 2024 National People's Congress session, the Premier emphasized fostering the low-altitude economy to drive growth. By early 2024, 16 provinces incorporated related policies in reports, and rules for Unmanned Aircraft Flights were in place. China had 1.11 million registered civilian drones by September 2023, with 182,000 licensed pilots and 17,000 operating enterprises.

Technical Visit to DHL Central Asia Hub

DHL established its Central Asia Hub (CAH), one of three global hubs for DHL, in Hong Kong in 2004. Due to high annual growth in shipping volume, DHL expended its CAH by equipping with advanced material handling system (MHS) in which the annual throughput of the expended CAH goes up by 50% to 1.06 million tonnes per annum. The expended CAH grand opening was conducted in Nov 2023. This visit has a chance for participants to under the design principle and management strategy of MHS.
