Military Satellites, has Defence placed too much reliance on space?

Recent and ongoing hostile actions in the upper atmosphere and in space have questioned whether militaries have become over-dependent on satellites; there may be true in thus, but conscious and continued investment in satellites and the establishment of Space Command and the operational domain of space indicate there is not going to be a drastic change in Defence and Security policy.
