"High definition (HD) television at 1920 x1080 pixels per frame is now business as usual for the BBC and other broadcasters worldwide. Researchers and the television industry have turned their attention to what will come next. This talk will introduce the newly standardised Ultra-High Definition (UHD) television formats, describe how research on human perception has influenced parameter choices for UHDTV, and explain why adding more pixels per frame is just the beginning of improving television"
