"The Cambridge biotechnology company Base4, has been developing long read length single molecule sequencing technology to leverage the key advantages of microdroplet systems to deliver high-throughput, low-cost sequence data from unmodified sample molecules. Building on this research Base4 has developed a novel microdroplet manipulation platform that enables the flexible, reprogrammable manipulation of aqueous droplets with volumes ranging from microlitres to sub-femtolitres."
