"This illustrated talk will outline the characteristics of high speed rail and outline how the HS2 proposal has been developed for the UK. The topics covered will include the development of plans for the proposed High Speed Network and how they influence the relationships between UK cities and their economic development. The challenges in engineering and construction of achieving the government�s aims in the most densely populated country in Europe will be addressed."
