"As with all assets, distribution cables age and deteriorate over time. The challenge to assess and determine the rate of deterioration is a challenge based on a number of factors. A method to determine condition is partial discharge mapping by way of detecting minor insulation failures before they become critical. This session aims to demonstrate an overview of the theory of partial discharge cable mapping, the techniques in setting up, differences in varying cable types and a case study."
