Zeppelin Museum Tour

Art meets technology on the shores of Lake Constance: this guided tour introduces participants to the Zeppelin Museum as a two-part museum. In the Bauhaus-style harbor station, the museum combines the world's largest collection on the history of airship travel with an art collection that includes the great masters from southern Germany from the Middle Ages to modern times. As part of the journey of discovery through the Zeppelin Museum's permanent exhibitions, participants also learn about the role Friedrichshafen has played in the national and regional history of art and technology.

Gaudi 100th anniversary: Visit and Engineering tour at the Sagrada Familia

A century ago, we lost Antoni Gaudi­, the visionary mind behind Barcelona most iconic masterpiece, the Sagrada Familia. Today, his radical architecture lives on in every beam, curve, tower and stained-glass reflection thanks to the engineering efforts and innovation behind them. Join the IET Barcelona Local Network for a special commemorative engineering tour were the Head of Procurement and Construction Methods from Building Department, Mr Farras, will describe the challenges in the material procurement, with the processes in which shapes and towers are built into the original outlines described by Gaudi and the engineering challenges faced to complete this masterpiece. This is a unique opportunity to see the marvels of the Sagrada Familia, not only from the architectural insides but also from the engineering insights.
